Weekly Bible quote 83

The Father Who dwells in me does His works - (Jn 14:10)
I let conscience in me speak for itself

The freedom to change your mind is the right of every seeker of Truth. All sincere scripture exhorts us to examine our conscience, to think again. Oaths and vows, regardless of the sanctity that the world claims for them, close the channel of open-mindedness through which we continually receive Divine guidance.

Weekly Bible quote 82

God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and truth - (John 4:24)

I will revere you in the true spirit of Holiness, Father

To worship God in spirit and in truth does not mean going to a church service or a lecture once a week and saying our daily affirmations or prayers. It means bringing Him into everything we do. To meet together is a good thing, for the Christ said that where two or three were gathered together there was He in the midst of them, but it is not enough.

We worship God when we turn to Him often, not only when we are in sorrow or trouble, but also in our joy. It is to feel our oneness with Him and all that He is and has. It is to know that we are His beloved children, and to live according to our high calling.

When we truly appreciate all the beauty with which we are surrounded, whether it is Nature or whether it is something beautiful made by man, we are worshipping God, for Nature is God in expression, and anything beautiful made by man has been inspired by Him. And God is beauty.

Weekly Bible quote 81

Jehovah will be thy confidence - (Prov 3:26)
I live in the presence of Divine Love and Life

If you asked the average man in what he placed his confidence, you would get many different answers. One might say "in the stability of the Stock Exchange", a second "in the company I work for", a third "in the government of the country", another "in the law and order obtaining in nature". Few would answer, "In God."

Weekly Bible quote 80

In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind - (Job 12:10)

I take hold of Reality and make It my own

Hardship and difficulty may leave the impression that we are alone, but it is not so. There is no place, no state of being, outside of All-in-all. Our lives are a fulfilling of what is, not a journey into foreign territory.

However isolated in spirit we may feel, however alienated in outlook from our world, however frightened by apparent prospects, we are ever held in His arms. The universe that seems to lie about us is really within us, and cannot harm itself. Our part is to see it thus and make it thus: "Let me dwell in Thy tent forever! Oh to be safe under the shelter of Thy wings!"
