I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten - (Joel 2:25)

GOD HEALS ME SPIRITUALLY AND MATERIALLY

The ages of man, from infancy to old age, do not contain the whole story. We, as children of God, are all things - time-bound and timeless, matter and spirit, changing and changeless. This may be hard to understand intellectually but we all know it deep down.

So, if you wake at night, filled with the terror of past events and the yawning chasm of the future, say wakefully "Dear Father, I am in You and You in me. I have nothing to fear." The loss of loved ones, the years that have passed and which you may have squandered, the hardship or sorrow you may now experience, are marked in time but not in Timelessness.

God in you offers restoration, both spiritual and material. If you but let Him, He replaces hardship with comfort, sadness with joy, loneliness with companionship.

Weekly Quote 9

The Lord is a God of justice - (Is 30:18)

I SURRENDER TO MY CONSCIENCE AND MY HIGHEST GOOD

In ancient times were many gods, and some of them unpredictable and tyrannical. But the God of the Jews, although partisan and harsh in His punishment, was held to be just. Over time this concept of God mellowed and spread, for it is a small god who favours certain people, places and practices. Finally it is understood that God's justice is built into His world and that we judge ourselves by our attitude and behaviour.

There is no appeal to this indwelling Judge. Do not try to justify yourself through a moral code for He is impervious to objective argument. We know Him in ourselves as conscience or we do not Know Him at all. In ignorance we condemn ourselves to pain, suffering and unwelcome death.

Surrender yourself to Love and live each moment as faithfully as you can. Do not peep around corners to see whether good is on its way. Nonchalantly expect your highest good in all things. Then you fulfil indwelling Justice and all is well.

Weekly Quote 8

Be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create - (Is 65:18)
IN TIMELESSNESS ARE ALL THINGS POSSIBLE

It is a time-bound concept that God created the universe somewhere in the past, and that living our lives is like playing a game, perhaps a computer game, in which all the options have predetermined outcomes.

God is Timelessness. His creation is ever taking place, and it takes place through our minds and hearts. In Timelessness are all things possible. We may rejoice that it is so, that we do not have, in patience, to traverse our deep, dark valleys, but that our entire landscape is made anew, moment by moment.

So do not become bogged down by your "experience" of life, or believe that negative outcomes are "inevitable", even if all the wisdom of man would tell you so. The Creator of heaven and earth has no limitations. Neither do you, His very expression, have limitations.

Weekly Quote 7

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy - (Ex 20:8)

I RETURN IN THANKSGIVING TO THE SOURCE OF MY ACHIEVEMENT

Most successful people begin each day by prioritising their tasks. As a result they usually accomplish what they set out to do. They may feel tired at the end of the day but hardly ever exhausted because they are energised by a healthy satisfaction with their achievements. The general secret of success is to work diligently to create a finished product that you have first conceived in the mind, and then express joy in your work.

Our whole life is like a day. All that we achieve by application of mental and physical power has its origin inwardly, firstly as thought and ultimately in Spirit. As much as our fatigued body requires refreshment through nourishment and sleep, so do we inwardly need to reconnect with Spirit through prayer of thanksgiving and contemplation of the perfection of all creation.

Our period of rest and thanksgiving, our Sabbath, completes a Divine cycle in us and fulfils us as His expressions.
