Weekly Quote 37

You have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much - (Mt 25:21)
With joy I do my Father's works

In the materialist world of size and quantity we quickly forget how important we each are, that we are each the Son, each the microcosm of All-in-all. Unfoldment of the Good laid in me personally fulfils the purpose of all Creation.

It brings new perspective on our lives when we understand that the hunger and thirst for right-ness that we feel is an urge that permeates everything. Let your prayer be "Father within me, I do this for You. My happiness is expression of Your infinite joy."

Today look upon your worldly tribulations as areas that God would have you enter and illuminate on His behalf. You experience the fear. You stand firm and see the shadows dissolve. You feel joy and gratitude. But all the time it is God's works that you do. His the means whereby you do them, and His fulfilment that you experience.

Weekly Quote 36

He who planted the ear, does He not hear? - (Ps 94:9)
Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me

The division of God's kingdom into "heaven" and "earth" causes even the faithful to see God as somehow removed from them. They speak to their Father but are not sure whether He hears or is really concerned about their needs. Because they are unsure, they keep on speaking, and take His apparent non-response as proof that He is indeed far away.

There can be no question that God hears. Indeed, He hears us before we have spoken because our needs and desires are truly His stirrings for fulfilment in us. No, the trouble is that we wait for the reply instead of accepting it as already given, and we hesitate to go forth in trust. Your Father loves you intimately. You are of His very Love-substance. Your speaking and asking serves to define the moment for yourself.

The Master again and again affirms your heavenly Father's affection: "What man of you, if his son asks him for a loaf, will give him a stone?"

Weekly Quote 35

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also - (Mt 6:21)
My heart leads me to fulfilment of true Self

It is sadly true that many people feel ashamed of their own character. They feel awkward when others quiz them about their achievements and steer attention away from themselves. There is something in life that interests them but they feel it is insignificant, even unworthy. Seldom do they acknowledge it as true Self calling within them.

We should pay more attention to the call of the heart for it beckons us towards fulfilment, which is the treasure of the Kingdom. Courage and faith take us there. As we draw near we know it has been worthwhile. The safety and comfort we have forfeited is as nothing to the joy we now feel.

Do not be afraid to make big changes in your life. While you follow true Self you cause no harm to anyone. Your highest duty is to fulifill that for which you came into expression.

Weekly Quote 34

Take My yoke upon you ... and you will find rest for your souls - (Mt 11:29)
Inevitably I arrive at faith

The leap from self to God has ever daunted man. What we have may be less than satisfactory, but at least we are familiar with it. What we may find in God is unknown - perhaps we will be worse off. With wry understanding of human nature the Master depicts our vision of commitment as a "yoke". Henceforth, we imagine, we will carry a burden.

But faith is not a sudden-death choice. To arrive at faith we have to mature through several stages of consciousness. The little leaven has to do its work in us. Throughout our development our trust is confirmed until finally it becomes certainty. Never, never, does God let us down. As our trust transforms into knowledge an indescribable peace settles upon us. We have discovered true Self.

Faith is not merely something we must achieve - it is a condition that God desires to express. In some way and for some reason - we know not why - Mind needs to pour out into time and space and matter, into what we call the world.
