Weekly Quote 65 - with commentary from the School of Truth

The peace of God, which passes all understanding - (Phil 4:7)
Your peace is ever with me, dear Father

Peace is like joy - it is the hand of our Father resting on our shoulder as we traverse the hills and valleys of life, assuring us that all is well. We do not have to "find" peace, it is ever available, even in the tumult of our day. Our Father is not disturbed by any thoughts, feelings and actions which do His work.

"Thou dost keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee" was the joyous cry of the prophet Isaiah. Peace to the navigator in a storm who tells us that we are on course and clear of all hazards. It may bewilder others to see us thus, like the humourous office poster which says "If you can keep your head amidst all this you do not understand the situation."

It is in the nature of our attunement to God that we do not wait for Him to bring us things. Instead we become those things. We take one step towards Him and he runs out to meet us. In your meditations feel His peace, feel it during your day, and recall it should it temporarily become distant.

Weekly Quote 64 - with commentary from the School of Truth

The precious substance of men is to the diligent - (Pro. 12:2)
God blesses my work for I put my best efforts in the doing of it

Are you happy in your work? Are you doing the thing you like best to do? If not, if you can change it, by all means do so, but if this is impossible at the moment, learn to like it - look on it as work done for God and do your best. There is some reason for your being where you are, so do all you can to make a success of your job. If you have work to do, whether you like it or not, thank God for it. Think of the number of people who are out of work and be grateful.

Helen Keller said: "My share of the work of the world may be limited, but the fact that it is work makes it precious. Darwin could work only half an hour at a time; yet in many diligent half-hours he laid anew the foundations of philosophy.

Green, the historian, tells us that "the world is moved not only by the mighty shoves of the heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker."

Weekly Quote 63 - with commentary from the School of Truth

Giving thanks always for all things - (Eph 5:20)
With spiritual vision I acknowledge only the Omnipresence of God

In God's Omnipresence there is no such thing as evil, there is only that which - to human awareness - holds out an appearance of evil, while hidden within it is THE GOOD THAT IS GOD.
We shall, in all probability, not be able to see this with our physical eyes but if our Spiritual Vision has been awakened we shall surely perceive that which IS in the place of that which is not.
God fills all space, is all Cause and Effect, so whatever comes into our lives derives from Him; there is no other source. On this plane of experience practically all of us see through a glass darkly, but we can - if we have the requisite faith - lift up our gaze to the hills and behold the truth through the inner Eyes of Love. Because God IS Love, we must take it on trust that all is well in this His visible world.

Weekly Quote 62 - with Commentary from the School of Truth

To the Lord your God belong the heaven, the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it - (Deut 10:14)
I inhabit God's natural, spiritual world

Omnipresence includes all that is seen and unseen. God is not divided. "Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven."

So look upon your world with great love and respect, for you are looking upon God. Look inwardly at your thoughts and feelings - there too you are looking upon God. Whatever negation you think you behold is not of God, but is separation from Him, pockets of darkness maintained in minds and hearts and accepted by you.

God's kingdom, from its unknowable source in Spirit, wells up through our thoughts and feelings, and through our bodies into our affairs. It is all of one Substance and is timeless: "Of His kingdom there will be no end." Understand that there is no "here and there", no "now and then". There is only here and now.
