Weekly Quote 64 - with commentary from the School of Truth

The precious substance of men is to the diligent - (Pro. 12:2)
God blesses my work for I put my best efforts in the doing of it

Are you happy in your work? Are you doing the thing you like best to do? If not, if you can change it, by all means do so, but if this is impossible at the moment, learn to like it - look on it as work done for God and do your best. There is some reason for your being where you are, so do all you can to make a success of your job. If you have work to do, whether you like it or not, thank God for it. Think of the number of people who are out of work and be grateful.

Helen Keller said: "My share of the work of the world may be limited, but the fact that it is work makes it precious. Darwin could work only half an hour at a time; yet in many diligent half-hours he laid anew the foundations of philosophy.

Green, the historian, tells us that "the world is moved not only by the mighty shoves of the heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker."
